ABOUT THE TEAM
Mark Zuckerman
Zuckerman’s interest and advocacy for the Human Right to Safe Drinking Water has been backed by action. He installed reverse osmosis water-vending devices accessible to more than 2000 public housing units in Los Angeles. In Flint, Michigan, he worked with Mervin Williams of Flint (see below) and developed a project to install reverse osmosis water purifying systems in each of the city’s 30,000 dwelling units. The program received majority support from Flint’s City Council. However, Michigan Governor Snyder blocked its implementation. In 2017, Mark brought portable reverse osmosis equipment to Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria.
He conceived, and developed the Pasqua Coffee Company and for 15 years, he served as Chairman of the Board and Co-CEO. The company owned and operated 58 cafes, employing 700 workers, generating $27 million annual revenue when the company was sold to Starbucks Coffee in 1998. Mark also holds a US Patent with Jack Martin (see below) for a “Method and Device” to establish the desired proportion of coffee-to-water, and water-to-coffee when brewing coffee.
